Day 12 – Proverbs 31 In 31 Days

Verse 12
She comforts, encourages, and does him only good as long as there is life within her. (Proverbs 31:12 AMPC)

Did you notice that the words ‘Comfort’ and ‘encouragement’, sounds so much like the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer?

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever (John 14:16 AMP)

As supreme as the assignment of the Holy Spirit in the Christian’s life is, so is your role in your Husband’s life very important.

GOD has called you to be a helper to the man you marry. (Now the Lord God said, “It is not good (beneficial) for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper [one who balances him—a counterpart who is] suitable and complementary for him.”
Genesis 2:18 AMP)

You are to comfort him, make his life comfortable, and be a comfort to him. Do him good and not evil all the days of your life together. Be an encourager and not a discouragement.
Be a peacemaker and not a troublemaker.

When you help your Husband, you are obeying GOD and you are helping yourself because you are one. The support you sow into the life of your Husband, you will reap from him and from the LORD.

This is a decision you make ahead and stay committed to, no matter the situation. Always remember that GOD has honoured you by qualifying you as a helper, like the Spirit of GOD. You are precious.
