Day 17 Proverbial Exhortations

Proverbs 2:16-19
[16] To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
[17] Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
[18] For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
[19] None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.

Wisdom is a deliverer. It will not just rescue you from becoming the strange woman, it will also guide you away from associating with her.

If you will be the virtuous woman that GOD has designed you to be in your fullness, then you must know the characteristic behaviour and lifestyle of this strange woman, and avoid her whether you are a man or woman.

The scriptures are very clear about who she is, what she is capable of, and what her end will be.

See how the easy translation is not taking it easy with her at all.

EASY If you have wisdom, you will not listen to the sweet words of a prostitute. A woman who likes to have sex with many men will not deceive you. That kind of woman leaves her own husband. She married him when she was young. Now she forgets what she promised to God at the time of her marriage. Do not go into her house! If you do, you will be on the road to death. If you follow her, you will arrive at the home of the spirits of dead people. Anybody who visits her will never return. He will never find the way back to a good life.

The life of a prostitute, her clients and anyone who despises the marriage covenant never ends well. Don’t thread that path for any reason. Choose the higher life with GOD where there is bliss and peace to be enjoyed.
