Day 20 Proverbial Exhortations

Proverbs 3:3-4
[3] Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
[4] So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

What you bind around your neck and write on the tables of your heart are things you must never lose, misplace or forget. They are things you must have mastered and have become a part of you. They are things you must keep!

NLT Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation.

There is favour before GOD and favour before men. Strive to have both. You can have right standing before GOD but you need to earn a good reputation before men. With qualities such as mercy, truth, kindness, faithfulness and loyalty, you can never go wrong with GOD and man.

AMPC Let not mercy and kindness [shutting out all hatred and selfishness] and truth [shutting out all deliberate hypocrisy or falsehood] forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them upon the tablet of your heart. [Col. 3:9-12.] So shall you find favor, good understanding, and high esteem in the sight [or judgment] of God and man. [Luke 2:52.]

Action-
1. Be merciful to people, especially when they least expect it. It will leave an indelible mark and they will forever be indebted to you.
2. Practice the law of kindness. Be kind with your words and actions. It goes a long way to strengthen your relationships.
3. Grow in your loyalty and faithfulness to the people in your life. They are kingdom qualities and make a man useable to GOD.
