As a woman in Christ, it is not every kind of man you can marry. You cannot join yourself to any Tom, Dick and Harry for the rest of your life.

Marriage is primarily an arrangement of GOD for the fulfilment of purpose. And purpose is in Christ (2 Timothy 1:9). If the man is not a believer in Christ, then he is not suitable for you. Don’t compromise this out of pressure. It is not worth it.

Marriage is a lifetime journey, who you go with determines where you end up and the condition under which you get there. If you want to enjoy marriage and not endure it, and you want to be fulfilled while you are at it, choose right.

Choose what GOD is choosing for you, and not what the flesh, the devil or people are choosing for you.

There are other very important things to check in your marital choice. Is he a believer who is under a spiritual authority? Don’t marry a man who is not submitted to authority, he will not be able to handle your submission, and you will live a frustrated life.

The leader who is worth following and is safe to follow is the one who is following somebody. Somebody that you can trace and verify, who is headed in the right direction. Someone he honours and reveres, and is accountable to, who can call him to order.

You don’t do this for the present, you do this for the future, yours and that of the children you will have. The best of men are still mere men.

To wrap this up, know that the perfect arrangement in marriage is where both you and your husband are submitted to the same authority. This brings order, stability and security to your home.

A mad home is where everyone is listening to and following different voices. If you want a sane home where GOD’S manifest presence will be seen, submit to one authority, not two, not three. GOD is a God of order. Anything that has two heads is a monster. Take this seriously.

Your Husband is your head, He will lead your home first before he leads at work or in society. Marry a leader, and when you do, accord him all the honour and respect GOD has commanded.

How you honour your husband is how other people will honour him. You don’t use your head to tread the ground. It should never be that your Husband feels more respected outside than at home. Let GOD be able to trust you with His sons. You are precious
