Proverbs 3:11-12
[11] My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
[12] For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

GOD corrects us. HE is Love, and correction is an expression of love.
Anyone who claims to love you, but doesn’t correct you when you are wrong really doesn’t care much about you. So when those whom GOD has placed in your life take it upon themselves to point out areas you need to make adjustments, be grateful!

EASY My child, if the Lord warns you that you have done something wrong, accept it. Do not be upset if he warns you. He is doing it because he loves you. When a father loves his son very much, he warns him when he does something wrong.

GOD corrects us through HIS word. So whenever you come across anything that your life does not align with in scripture, adjust yourself. This requires a high level of responsibility and self-discipline because it’s between you and the word and there is no one else to hold you accountable. You should love yourself enough to want to get better.

CEV My child, don’t turn away or become bitter when the Lord corrects you. The Lord corrects everyone he loves, just as parents correct a child they dearly love.

In whatever form, tone or manner correction comes to you, take it. And don’t allow your emotions to get a better hold of you. The value of the correction is far greater. See it as a diamond that is hidden in earth, sand and dirt. You don’t get discouraged by the dirt, you take it, mine it and extract the precious stone.

NLT My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline and don’t be upset when he corrects you. For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.

Don’t be too bothered by how corrections come, just receive it with Joy. And never forget that your attitude to correction will determine how far you go in life, and with GOD.
