Proverbs 3:27-28
[27] Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
[28] Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.

This is not just a Godly human interaction ethic, and a lesson in generosity, but a picture of how our generous Father responds to us when we have a need.

If GOD’s word says we should respond to people and do so quickly, then it means He does the same to us. GOD will never demand of us to do what He Himself does not exemplify. HE is an exemplary GOD, our ever present help in the time of need (Psalms 46:1).

ERV Do everything you possibly can for those who need help. If your neighbor needs something you have, don’t say, “Come back tomorrow.” Give it to him immediately.

MSG Never walk away from someone who deserves help; your hand is God’s hand for that person. Don’t tell your neighbor “Maybe some other time” or “Try me tomorrow” when the money’s right there in your pocket.

Your hand is GOD’S hand to the person in need, always remember that. And let GOD be able to trust you and use you.
